Jack L. Hemb has spent over 37 years helping clients make sound decisions about their future financial and benefit needs. Jack grew up in the industry, spending his first ten years of his career learning directly from the industry in roles such as individual agent and regional manager of sales. After leaving management in 1983, he became a
group benefits advisor, a role he has maintained ever since. Since 1983, Jack has successfully operated his own benefits agency, serving hundreds of client companies both locally and nationally. Of the many companies that he has worked with, many count him as advisor and confidant. He provides great understanding and insight to not only the medical benefits field, but also works strongly with many national providers in a variety of group benefits (Life Insurance, Long-Term Disability, Short-Term Disability and Dental).

Jack commits himself to achieving a ‘trusted advisor’ role with the various management teams he works with on a daily basis. He and his team of professionals look to provide the most complete and up-to-date problem solving solutions for their clients. Toward this goal, his agency has been a member of United Benefit Advisors (UBA), for the past six years. He is very active in this national organization’s leadership that provides best-practice standards in the market. With this national support Hemb Insurance Group provides many advanced services to its many clients.

Greg Blum marks more than 20 years in employee benefits. He began his career at a large, regional HMO, rising through the ranks of its sales department, concluding with the lead responsibilities for large employer sales.

After several successful years as that carrier sales representative, Greg joined Hemb Insurance Group in 2001 as a Benefits Advisor. Since then he has built a thriving group benefits practice providing the needed expertise, effort, and services critical to the well-being of our client friends. It is a thrill for Greg to be intricately involved with the strategic direction of his clients and is looking forward to providing leadership in the midst of the Health Care Reform upheaval.

Greg is active in Madison West Towne Middleton Rotary, Wisconsin Association of Health Underwriters, and United Benefit Advisors. He also serves or has served his community as a board member for the following local organizations: Mental Health Center of Dane County, Madison West-Towne Middleton Rotary club, and the Southern Wisconsin Officials Association.

Outside of his professional career, Greg and his wife Diane love nothing more than trying to keep up with their 5th Grade daughter.

Chris Romine began her career in the Health and Life Insurance industry with a regional agency in 1994 specializing in the group and individual health insurance market. Chris has built a diverse clientele base and Hemb Insurance Group welcomed her as a Benefits Advisor in 2013. She enjoys helping business owners maximize savings potential through thoughtful plan design. With her extensive experience, Chris has the vision and creativity to provide innovative solutions to meet the needs of her clients. She has built a reputation based on service and loyalty to her clients and continues to provide business clients with the most competitive edge products in the employee benefits arena.

With her father being a 25 year Veteran of the Air Force, as a child, Chris had the opportunity to live abroad and in many areas of the United States until she met her husband, Karl in 1992. She has served on several insurance advisory boards and committees, has been a Parish Council Member and is actively involved in their Church. She enjoys family, fishing, gardening, golfing, cross country skiing and the great outdoors with each passing season. Chris, Karl and their dog Moses, enjoy the rural life just outside of the Madison area.

Steve Riggles has over 12 years of experience in the local benefits market, and offers multiple viewpoints, including benefits advisor, sales manager, and client relationship specialist.  Those experiences have allowed Steve to build a strong reputation on behalf of his client partners.

Our company also relies on Steve for his technical approach when we add to our value proposition, but he also boasts great success with clients by tirelessly applying himself toward improving their benefits’ world.

Steve is active in the leadership of his local Rotary Club, and counts among his favorites the University of North Dakota hockey (alma mater) and the Minnesota Vikings (home state).  We forgive him on both counts.

Eric Hansen started his insurance career working in the Life, Long Term Care and Medicare Insurance fields with a national company before joining Hemb Insurance Group in 2016.  His specialty is the small group and individual market, with an ever growing client list in south central Wisconsin.  Eric’s focus is establishing strong relationships, educating his clients to enable them to make informed decisions about their Benefit plans, and then ensuring that those plans work as expected.

Prior to joining Hemb Insurance Group, Brent worked for several years in a similar role for a large national consulting firm. Brent holds degrees from UW-Oshkosh, including Insurance & Marketing and is designated an Health Insurance Associate (HIA) through the AHIP program. His passion is improving our health insurance system and believes that change starts at the employer level – it’s what makes Brent “tick” and makes him passionate about his role at Hemb Insurance Group.

Brent grew up in the Middleton area, and recently returned from Kansas City. In his free time he enjoys working out, college/professional sports, and traveling.

Kassie Shull joined Hemb Insurance Group in 2018, bringing with her years of Human Resources experience and Benefit Administration.  She will be focusing on assisting our smaller group clients with benefits, compliance and exceptional customer service.  She graduated from Concordia University of WI with her MBA with a concentration in Human Resources. She continues to broaden her insurance knowledge and how to use her HR background to help our clients with their needs.

Kassie resides in Clinton WI with her husband Tim, daughter Arabella, two cats and a dog.  She is an active community member and serves on the Board of Education for Clinton Community School District.  She enjoys gardening, going up north to Eagle River, volunteering and spending time with her family and friends.

Anna has been in the customer service field for over 15 years, working with a variety of business types, mainly non-profits and small business owners. Her positions have included project coordination, customer service, and administrative assisting. Anna holds a Masters in Theology with a Major in Interpersonal Communication and recently moved to the Madison area from Seattle, WA. Anna is looking forward to a long future with Hemb Insurance providing for your administrative needs.
